Guides to Job Center

One position is a permanent position and the other is a temporary position until November 11, 2026.

The mission of the Job Center is to support individuals to achieve self-sufficiency, either through work or education. We support adults of working age who receive financial assistance. We are about 50 employees distributed across three units and various teams. With us, we strive for a good work environment where we care for and support each other. We are good at welcoming new colleagues and have an introduction program for new hires with the possibility of a mentor. We offer an active and goal-oriented workplace with joy at work.

Our office is centrally located in Eskilstuna, Kungsgatan 13, about 500 meters from the train and bus station.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of guide, you will coach and guide participants who are receiving financial assistance. You will conduct individual conversations, register participants for various activities, and lead your own activities that are needs-driven and purposeful, which will move the participant towards self-sufficiency. You will work with a target group that is far from the labor market. We have participants with limited Swedish language skills, participants who need support in their rehabilitation process, and participants who are young people aged 18-29 years. Your mission is to coach participants towards self-sufficiency or studies.

All cases that the Job Center works with come from financial assistance or other decision-making regarding competence-enhancing measures. The authority decision means that you also have administrative tasks. For example, you will document in Viva, implement decisions, write action plans, make flags, and contact financial assistance and other partners as needed. In addition to the core mission of guiding participants, other side assignments often arise that promote support for participants and the development of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed and approved high school education. It is highly meritorious if you have a university degree in the social sciences, such as behavioral science or other education that we consider relevant. It is also beneficial if you have training in motivational interviewing. You have experience working with labor market coaching for individuals who are outside the labor market. For the permanent position, we see it as a positive if you have experience working with a target group that has limited Swedish language skills. For the temporary position, we would like you to have experience working with the target group of young people (18-29 years).

If you have experience collaborating with civil society and the business community, documentation in operational systems, and knowledge of politically governed organizations, you will adapt to the role more quickly. In the role, you also need to have a B driver's license.

The Labor Market and Adult Education Administration is responsible for labor market initiatives, financial support, and adult education. The administration's mission is to lead residents in Eskilstuna to initiatives and education aimed at achieving self-sufficiency. The goal is that everyone who can work should work.
